Saturday Afternoon Poetry is here for you! We meet EVERY Saturday in the backroom of the Santa Catalina Branch of the Pasadena Public Library on 999 E. Washington Blvd. between 3pm and 5pm. Here's our schedule:

Saturday, March 23rd, 3 to 5 pm - Print & Internet Publishing Workshop led by LUIS PASTOR
Saturday, March 30th, 3 to 5 pm - Featured:  Poets published in SPECTRUM 18: THE GREEN

2019 SAN GABRIEL VALLEY POETRY FESTIVAL CELEBRATING NATIONAL POETRY MONTH!

Featuring three poetry contests: a broadside competition (enter one poem), a chapbook competition (enter a collection of ten poems), and a book competition (enter a collection of 25 poems). Winners get their work published in 25 copies and a featured reading at the end of the month. Deadline to enter contests is April 9th. Email donkingfishercampbell@gmail.com with your entry in a Word attachment.

April 6th, 3 to 5 pm - THE BIG OPEN (Every open reader gets a book prize!)

April 13th, 3 to 5 pm - THE BIG SHARE (Bring poetry to read by a poet other than yourself.)

April 20th, 3 to 5 pm - THE BIG SLAM (Top three performers get cash prizes! Free to enter.) 

April 27th, 3 to 5 pm - THE BIG WINNERS (Winners of the 2019 SGVPF contests will be featured.)
